During this time of increased negativity in the world and division in humanity, Johanna Beekman asked her friend Mikey Pauker to join with her to write a song featuring the sacred Hebrew language, beautifully translated into English and arranged in an accessible, hook-filled tune called “Help Us Love.”

The lyrics are based on Leviticus 19:18 (from the Torah) as well as the Jewish prayer liturgy the V’ahavta. It is restated in the New Testament by Jesus as the second greatest commandment, showing one of the great ethical links among all faiths, that of neighbors taking care of each other in a world of division.
