In Lullaby Yoga®: Come Home to You, Johanna gently guides you through a series of deeply relaxing poses while singing and playing soothing songs and chants. Her classes use principles from restorative, therapeutic, and gentle yoga, yoga nidra, and subtle body and breathwork. The music—a blend of original and traditional pieces from a variety of global cultures—facilitates the healing process by providing a luxurious, peaceful space for the mind to rest while the body relaxes, rebalances, and restores itself.
Johanna has offered—and continues to offer—Lullaby Yoga classes at festivals and studios all across America.
And now, for the first time, she’s offering downloadable sessions so people can experience Lullaby Yoga at home—or just about anywhere.

Back story and more
Johanna has been fascinated by the yoga universe since she attended retreats with Krishna Das and Ram Das as a teenager. But it took a decade before her growing love of yoga and kirtan led her to pursue a yoga teaching credential. Less than a year after she received her certification, in 2012, she was rear-ended by a drunk driver on her way home. The accident did extensive damage to her back, neck, and spinal column, putting a sudden end to her budding yoga teaching practice. During the recovery process she focused her creative energy on her music and restorative yoga—the style of yoga that focuses on deep relaxation and healing. After a few months she combined these two powerful healing practices and created Lullaby Yoga®.
Lullaby Yoga® was born at the popular Live Well Studio in Corvallis, Oregon. Here’s what co-founder Eleanor Wells says about it: “Lullaby Yoga is like eating dessert, it’s just delicious. A special treat for a special evening. My clients and I love being tucked into restorative postures and sung into a sweet dreamlike trance by Johanna. It’s just the best way to spend a Friday night that I can imagine.”

Johanna has taught Lullaby Yoga® classes and workshops at yoga studios, spas, and leading festivals across the country, as well as internationally through online events and festivals. She occasionally leads a heart-opening kirtan followed immediately by an extended Lullaby Yoga® cool-down.
After receiving her yoga teacher certification, Johanna continued her study of asana, restorative yoga, RhythmAsana, yoga anatomy, yoga philosophy, and vocal yoga. Her teachers include Dr. Lisa Wells, Angela Grace, Kira Ryder, Matthew Remski, Eric Shaw, and Gina Sala.
