“Gentle/Yin Yoga Description
Yin is characterized by passive poses held for long periods of time (up to five minutes). Yin poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues-tendons, fascia, and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation, flexibility and range of motion in the joints. Props are used to support you as you sink into your edge, breathe, and release. Yin will leave you feeling renewed and restored. Open to all levels, this class is deeply relaxing and a great balance to your Flow and Hatha practice.

Anne Laderman is a certified instructor who has taught yoga in California, Arizona, New Zealand and her current home: Olympia, WA. Anne has studied with many master teachers and is especially grateful for her time with Ana Forrest, Saul David Raye and Vivian & Aerick at the Bhanda Room. Her classes are a blend of that experience, combining Forrest Yoga and Hatha inspiration to create a well balanced, heart opening, ecstatic practice. Anne’s knowledge of Thai yoga therapy is frequently used throughout the class to guide students into complete relaxation. Anne is a teacher committed to yoga as a way of life.
